The Ostrog Bible (Ivan Fyodorov, for Prince Konstanty Ostrogski, 1581). The first complete printed Bible in Church Slavonic, produced at Ostroh in what is now Ukraine by the printer who had been driven out of Moscow. Its editors compared Greek, Latin and Slavonic manuscripts gathered from as far as Constantinople, and the text they settled on remained the basis of the Slavonic Bible read in Orthodox churches for centuries.
