Apology of Aristides (Aristides of Athens, c. AD 125-140). One of the earliest Christian apologies, addressed to the emperor and preserved through Syriac and Greek witnesses. It contrasts Christian worship with pagan, Greek, Egyptian, and Jewish religious life.
